Bugasong Pag-Ulikid Foundation, USA Inc. (BPF) is a non-profit social organization dedicated to promoting the welfare of the people of Bugasong, Antique, Philippines . Communities like Bugasong face unprecedented challenges to their livelihoods, their identities, their institutions, and their sense of place in the evolving village. Traditional approaches that promote high rates of economic growth have not led to sustained or evenly distributed benefits. What these communities require is a fundamental and far-reaching change in the attitudes and behavior of its citizens, governments and local businesses if it is going to provide for a sustainable future. At the community level, in a small scale, Bugasong Pag-ulikid Foundation is trying to focus on achieving a deeper understanding of community processes and livelihoods systems, particularly in slow developing communities such as ours. This website will serve as our main tool for communication, source of information, interaction as well as participation in the hopes to create a strong force towards helping each other to achieve high rate of economic, physical, social and educational growth.
